In July 2024, the University of Zadar’s Maritime Department hosted a round-table discussion as part of the MICROMET project, which focuses on micro-qualification in seafarers’ education and training. This project, supported by the Erasmus+ program – Key Action 2 for higher education, brought together a diverse group of experts, i.e. masters, to discuss the  topic “Non-STCW Short Courses in the Maritime Industry.”

The round table was conducted both on-site at the University of Zadar and online, allowing for wide-ranging participation and dynamic discussions. We were delighted by the enthusiastic engagement from participants who contributed valuable insights and strategies aimed at enhancing maritime education.
