From October 2-5, 2024 The 26th Symposium on Shipbuilding Theory and Practice, In Memoriam Professor Leopold Sorta – SORTA 2024, was organized by the Maritime Department of the University of Zadar and the University of Trieste.

The event brought together scientists, experts, and business professionals from Croatia and abroad who were engaged in shipbuilding, maritime transport, and the maritime industry in general. With over 100 participants, the symposium’s program included three major plenary sessions, a panel discussion, and approximately 70 scientific and technical-commercial presentations across various thematic areas.

At this prestigious event, the MICROMET project and its results were presented, highlighting the project’s impact on micro-qualification in seafarers’ education and training.
