The Faculty of Maritime Studies at the University of Split was established in 1959 and has grown into one of Croatia’s leading maritime education centers, located on a modern university campus. The institution delivers five specialized study programs: Maritime Navigation, Marine Engineering, Yacht and Marina Technologies, Maritime Electrical and Information Technologies, and Maritime Management, all aligned with global industry standards. Through international conferences, scientific publications, and innovative projects, the Faculty advances maritime sciences worldwide while preparing professionals for evolving industry challenges.
Particularly impressive are their training facilities, including advanced simulators and specialized laboratories that provide students with hands-on practical experience essential for modern maritime careers. During the two-day pilot course “Bologna Tools and Micro-Credentials Recognition in Maritime Education and Training” held in Split, we had the opportunity to explore their cutting-edge equipment firsthand.
